Hokkai is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager with a passion for Japanese cuisine. Do you have experience in fine dining, knowledge of wine, and the ability to lead a team and deliver exceptional service every evening? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
Every day, we work with the finest seafood and a wide selection of sake, some of which we import ourselves.
You’ll be working in a small, international team. Under the guidance of our Japanese chefs, we introduce our guests to authentic Japanese cuisine. Our team consists of true professionals—from certified sushi chefs to sake sommeliers—who learn from and challenge one another every day.
What are you going to do?
You will lead the front-of-house team and be actively present during service. You will oversee the coordination between the kitchen and the waitstaff, maintain an overview of the entire operation, and play a key role in creating the overall experience for our guests.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in fine dining.
- Knowledge of wine and/or sake. You can also further develop your knowledge of sake through our sake sommelier training program.
- You get a boost of energy from providing service and hospitality.
- You lead in a positive and clear manner.
- You are responsible, proactive, and enterprising.
- You have a genuine interest in Japanese cuisine and culture.
